Day 186 - a midsummer's garden report

These tiny flowers remeinded me of the fireworks we watched on the 4th of July.
I found this daylily at some big box type of store (Home Depot or Lowe's). It was in a sea of generic one gallon plants. But, it's turned out to be one of my favorites. The only downside is that it has a short blooming cycle.
It's at its peak this week.

Sherry do you know if that top one is lemon grass? I've planted what looks like to be the same thing for a bit of groundcover and am curious how much it spreads.

Lilies are so beautiful, like you said, they just don't last long enough!

Have a fantastic weekend!

darlin, the tiny yellow flowers are from a sedum or some kind of succulent that is planted in a claypot.

I've never grown lemon grass -- sounds like it would be lovely.

Hope you have a fantastic weekend too!

Thanks Sherry, I'm looking for ideas for yet another rather large project at the farm. I think that I might know where I'm going with it but on the other hand I don't have a clue! lol I'll post something on this latest project soon!
