Yesterday, we hiked to Horsetail Falls for the first time. On our hike, during the sections of the trail that were granite and boulders, we were guided by stacks of rocks. This one was especially eye-catching.
Today, cairns are often used to mark hiking trails or cross-country routes in mountain regions at or above the tree line. Most are small, a foot or less in height, but a few are built taller so as to protrude through a layer of snow.
I guess these rock stacks are also called cairns. And Inukshuk?
