It was a night to notice & admire the neon mermaids down at the embarcadero in San Francisco. We also had a great time at the event and reception for Don Hertzfeldt, our daughter's close friend.
I just get close enough to the neon sign so that there is enough light. I don't use flash. That's it. But, you also need to hold very still while taking the shot because of the slow shutter speed.
