Sounds like you have experience with columbine... It just seems like such a mountain flower.

We had the spreading & taking over everything issue with yarrow. Even now, when I see it at a nursery I shudder.

This is a beautiful shot Sherry, I'm learning a lot about flowers through this blog site, now when I want to add to the flower garden out at the farm I know some of the do nots and what the flowers actually look like. Who would have thought posting a photo a day could being me a wealth of knowledge? Interesting!

That's a lovely photo, Sherry. I have columbine growing. I love it. The seeds are super easy (SUPER!!) to save and plant. There is also some wild columbine that grows along the road. It's mostly orange around here.
My columbine in the garden is all different colors. Very easy plant.
